About

Hi! My name is Clare! And I like to cook.

I also love traveling, dinner parties, baking, wine, hot sauce, any kind of Asian food, the Los Angeles Dodgers, tequila, skeeball, California, Eastern Europe, and my puppies.

I’m a California girl recently retired from a whirlwind life of travel, adventure and graduate school. I’m a dirty, hippie pescatarian. I’ve lived in 5 countries (Ireland, England, Italy, Hungary and the U.S. of A.). And this one time, I sailed around the world.

This is a blog dedicated to my (mis)adventures in the kitchen and the pursuit of perfecting the macaronย gluten free popover.

Thanks for stopping ย by my little piece of the internet!

Please feel free to contact me at clarecancook[at]gmail[dot]com. I would love to hear from you!

  4. Clare your blog is great….so manhy of my friends are going gluten-free and your site will enable me to still have them over for dinner without killing them…Thanks so much. Very well done!

    • Thanks! I actually thought the same thing when I first started cooking gluten free, but I realized how many meals or type of cuisines are naturally gluten free, and it became a lot easier!

  5. Great website! My mom suffers from similar food allergies, so I grew up eating a lot of gluten-free recipes without even knowing it. Glad you can share with the world that gluten-free isn’t a dirty phrase ๐Ÿ™‚
